I’m Honor Cargill-Martin, an author, classicist and art historian.

I’ll be sharing stories, characters, ideas, and art from the Classical world - as well as delving into questions about their formation. There will be scheming rulers and radical philosophers, political factionalism and love poetry, dark omens and scientific discoveries.

This was the material which formed the basis of the Classical education system for more than a millennium and - like it or not - on which much of Western culture, politics, and thought was built. And it’s extremely good fun.
